Gilberston Park is located behind the school's baseball diamonds. This beautiful park was donated by the Kindred Park Board in May 2016. You will find tons to do here. There are several slides, climbing walls, hidden animals scattered throughout the equipment, learning maps, four swings, digging excavators, and more!
The city park is located right in the heart of our community. It boasts a gathering shelter, swings, play dome, and playground full of slides, hide-outs, bridges, and more.
The Kindred Park district proudly funded the community ice rink located downtown across from Hawk's Market.
Progressive Ag Softball Complex was generously donated to the Kindred Park District by Mr. and Mrs. Ray Grabanski. Youth of all ages enjoy activities on the fields during the spring and summer months, especially our t-ballers and girls' fast pitch softball players. There are large brick dugouts and storage facilities. Indoor bathroom and a spacious concession stand provide players and fans all the necessities and two grandstands allow for ample seating.
This multi-purpose building is conveniently located at the city park and is used for special events such as family reunions, dances, bazaars, and parties. There is no fee for renting the Memorial Building, but a $100 deposit is required. Please call the city auditor at 701.428.3115 for more information.
This biking and walking path flows in and outside of the community. Located east of the highway that runs through Kindred, this paved trail provides yearlong opporutnities to get out and get some exercise. In the spring, summer, and fall months, enjoy the Story Walk that runs along the path.
The Park Board utilized City Hall to host events and monthly Park Board meetings.
The use of tobacco or alcohol products is prohibited in all parks and recreational facilities, including both outdoor and enclosed areas. This prohibition includes all facilities at which parks and recreation-sponsored activities occur. No person shall use any tobacco or alcohol products at or on any outdoor or enclosed areas of operated recreational facilities, including playgrounds, athletic fields, restrooms, spectator areas, enclosed buildings, concession areas and parking lots. Recreational facilities include, but are not limited to, the Memorial Building, Kindred Pool, Gilbertson Park, and Progressive Ag Softball Complex.
